Organisation number and business number

All enterprises that carry on commercial activity and/or declare that they have employees are assigned a business number in addition to the organisation number. The organisation number is the legal identifier used when dealing with customers and suppliers.

Organisation number for the enterprise (legal organisation number)

All organisations that are registered in the Central Coordinating Register for Legal Entities (e.g. private limited companies, cooperatives and sole proprietorships) are assigned an organisation number. This number must appear on the organisation's website, in communication with customers and suppliers and on all business and sales documents.

The organisation number (also known as the 'legal number') must also be used in reports concerning the enterprise or organisation itself. It is this number that will appear in searches for business name in the search field "Find business/entity" at
